Frequently Asked Questions

Does the GiveCampus volunteer management software allow volunteers to schedule their outreach?

Yes! The “Schedule Send” feature lets volunteers schedule emails to go out in the future (beginning an hour ahead). This feature also allows volunteers to view scheduled emails in a list, adjust scheduled times, or cancel scheduled emails.

Before volunteers can create accounts, school administrators need to add them as Volunteers in the GC Volunteer Management environment. Once added to the system by administrators, volunteers will be prompted to create an account. Administrators can send automated registration emails to volunteers by clicking the “Email to New Unregistered Volunteers” button from the Volunteers page.

Yes, volunteers do have their own profiles in the GC Volunteer Management system. When a school administrator adds a volunteer to the system, they create a volunteer record that includes basic information like the volunteer’s name, email, class year, and assigned role(s)

Volunteers can access their profile after creating a GiveCampus account and logging in. The profile allows them to:

  • View their assignments (constituents they’ve been paired with for outreach)
  • See their volunteer dashboard which may include campaign information if their role has been connected to fundraising campaigns.
  • Access resources and email templates provided by the school.

The system tracks volunteer activities like notes created, emails sent, and any contact information they’ve updated for constituents. This information is included in reports that administrators can access.

GC Volunteer Management is priced based on the number of “Licensed Volunteers.” A Licensed Volunteer is defined as any volunteer whose assigned role in GC Volunteer Management allows them to access the Services, including viewing, creating, or modifying constituent records, tasks, assignments, messages, notes, email templates, or using email functionality. For larger schools that may want to divide and manage their volunteer population in groups (for example, business school vs medical school), GC Volunteer Management also offers an option to purchase additional units as needed.

GiveCampus optimizes email outreach for three factors:

  1. Deliverability (keeping your email from being treated as SPAM)
  2. Ease of use (making it as easy as possible for your volunteers to send an email)
  3. Donor trust (respecting donor privacy)

This approach achieves 99.9% deliverability rates, doesn’t require any additional steps by the volunteer to set up their account, and it ensures donor privacy because a constituent might respond to the volunteer with sensitive information. The volunteer’s email is automatically captured by the volunteer management software, but the constituent’s reply is not.

Switching is easier than you think

GiveCampus has everything you need to make a clean break—including bi-directional integrations with your CRM, an event registration solution, built-in outreach capabilities, and more.
