What data can I SEND TO GiveCampus?

Schools send data to GiveCampus via our API, Data Importer, Direct CRM Integrations, or CSV Upload. Sending more data to GiveCampus can help power your workflows and also enhance the recommendations you receive from GC Intelligence.

You can upload the following data to GiveCampus:

Constituent data, for use across all GiveCampus solutions, including Biographical Details, Contact Information, Affiliations, Activities, Solicit Codes/Restrictions, and Employment Details.
Designation data for use on giving forms, gift details in various solutions, or opportunities in GC Gift Officer.
Transaction-level gift data for use across all GiveCampus solutions including Gift ID, Gift Amount, Gift Date, Gift Designation, Gift Type.
Email unsubscribe topics for use in GC Outreach.
Event registration data including invitation lists, or optionally build lists right within GC Events / GC Outreach.
Volunteer data for use in GC Volunteer Management, including lists of volunteers who should have access, as well as assignments for volunteers.
Historical interaction data can be uploaded to both GC Gift Officer and GC Volunteer Management. Additionally, for GC Gift Officer, you can upload all contact reports including custom fields required on contact reports for your institution.
Plans, plan moves, and opportunity data can be uploaded to GC Gift Officer for all constituents sent to GiveCampus.

What data can I IMPORT FROM GiveCampus?

You can import the following GiveCampus-generated data into your CRM:

Designation data: GC Online Giving files will include designations associated with gift transactions. GC Gift Officer files will include designations associated with Opportunities modified in GiveCampus.
Gift data: GC Online Giving and GC Events files will include all details collected during the giving process. Other solutions do not allow for editing of gift information and no data will be sent.
Contact report data: Contact reports created or updated in GC Gift Officer and GC Volunteer Management can be imported to your CRM.
Plans, plan moves, and opportunity data created or updated in GC Gift Officer can be imported into your CRM.
All event registration and attendee data captured in GC Events can be imported into your CRM.
Email data: Email data, including open and bounce rates for outreach sent from the GiveCampus platform can be imported into your CRM.
Volunteer data: Volunteer data, including volunteers added in GiveCampus and assignments created or removed in GiveCampus, can be added to your CRM.

How does the GiveCampus API work?

Most API uses are based on a GET (retrieval) request, which does not allow writing or posting to GiveCampus data. For some data types (designations, constituents, imported gifts), you can POST (write new) or PUT (modify existing) data. Check the relevant API call type details below to see what types of requests are possible.

What can I access with the GiveCampus API?

You can access the following data via the GiveCampus API:

Gifts, including the relevant constituent and recurring data, from GC Online Giving
- Retrieve a list of transactions and their data by timestamp, date range, and gift status.
Events and Registrations from GC Events
- Retrieve a list of events and their data by date range and status.
- Retrieve a list of event registrations and their data by event ID, date range, and registration status.
Designations from GC Online Giving
- Retrieve a list of all designations in use and their data, including any designation group, campaign or giving form they are connected to
- Create new designations (individually or in bulk) using a list from your school
  - Will deduplicate if all attributes match an existing designation
Designation Groups from GC Online Giving
- Retrieve a list of all designation groups and their designations
- Bulk create designation groups for your school
Recurring Subscriptions from GC Online Giving
- Retrieve a list of all recurring subscriptions and their data including installment data
- Retrieve the data from a specific recurring subscription using its subscription ID
